How Do Vultures Date?

In Planckendael, a unique vulture dating experiment is enhancing the breeding success of cinereous vultures by allowing them to choose their own mates. This initiative has been significantly improved by IoSA’s partnership with the Zoo of Antwerp, where they introduced advanced proximity loggers. These devices track interactions and preferences among vultures, providing crucial data for the breeding program. The insights gained from this technology support the Vulture Conservation Foundation’s efforts to protect and reintroduce these endangered birds into their natural habitats.
